Well, it’s finally happened. For years, the holiday season has crept closer and closer into the Summer season and it now seems like on July 5th, Summer quietly puts on a witch hat and begins to dip into spooky and fun Fall vibes. Welcome to Summerween: the delightfully strange moment when spooky season starts creeping in before summer vacation is even over. It is the season of skeletons beside beach towels, iced coffee with autumnal ambitions, and people whispering “just one little pumpkin” while it is still hot enough to go to the beach.
On paper, celebrating Fall in the middle of Summer sounds ridiculous. In practice, it makes a weird amount of sense. Summerween gives us permission to borrow the cozy, nostalgic, and magical parts of Autumn without waiting for the calendar to catch up. It is less about rushing the year along and more about stretching out the fun. You can pull out your skeletons and put bathing suits on them while they lounge on your front porch. You can decorate that faux pumpkin you picked up with bright Summer colors and not worry about the neighbors giving you strange looks!
As a business, not only have we got our Fall collection in the final stages and are slowly introducing the collection, but on a personal note, we may or may not have picked up a few cute little colored pumpkins to kick off the season!
