Maybe you don’t have a bathtub, don’t have time for a full soak, or you just don’t like sitting in a bath. You can still enjoy the benefits of a bath without actually taking a full bath.
Hand or foot baths can be beneficial and an easy way to indulge in some self care without running a bath. You don’t need fancy equipment - although it might not be as nice as a proper foot bath, a bucket or large bowl will work just fine. Simply fill your chosen vessel with warm water and add your bath salts or bath bomb and let it dissolve. You can use the mini spa session for a little bit of quiet time, put on some soothing music to listen to, or catch up on your favorite podcast or tv show, all while breathing in the aromatics and feeling the moisture soaking into your skin.
A salt soak can be quite grounding and beneficial beyond giving you fifteen minutes or so to unwind. Our hands and feet work hard all day and tend to be commonly forgotten when it comes to self-care routines – they deserve a little pampering too! Soaking your hands and/or feet can improve circulation, provide some pain relief with the warm water helping relax your muscles and joints, and be mentally and physically cleansing by helping absorb negative energy, all in addition to hydrating your skin. Just make sure to dry your hands and feet thoroughly after your soak as the oils can make the water a bit slippery.
