With visions of cooler weather, cozy sweaters, and leaves changing colors playing in our mind as we move into Fall, everyone always gets excited about Pumpkin Spice season. Don’t get me wrong, we love the aroma as well, but there are so many other scents to celebrate Fall that sometimes get overpowered by all things pumpkin.
Apple – Whether it’s picking apples in the fresh air at an apple orchard, enjoying a cup of apple cider and warm cake donuts, or baking an apple pie at home, there is something so nice about the more delicate, sweet, and crisp aroma of apples.
Eucalyptus – Eucalyptus has an earthy, clearing scent that is like taking a deep breath of fresh air while taking a walk in the mountains.
Orange – A scent typically associated with Spring or Summer, Orange also mixes well with spices like clove or cinnamon, creating a new aromatic layer that pairs light and zesty with warm and nurturing.
Patchouli – People love or hate Patchouli, but it is a grounding scent that anchors a lot of other aromas like Eucalyptus or Orange with its warmth and balance.
Vanilla – Vanilla is another classic scent associated with Fall. Its warm and sweet aroma mixes well with just about anything, softening the sharp edges of other oils and creating an instant sense of warmth and comfort.
Cedarwood – With a calm and woodsy scent, Cedarwood is a great oil to gently provide support and strength.
Cardamom – The perfect blend of sweet, warm, and spicy, Cardamom adds complexity to any blend of aromas.
Give these scents a try in a candle, diffuser blend, or aroma spray to have a little fun with your Fall scents. Think of making an aromatic Fall recipe like baking to mix and match oils and let us know in the comments below about your creations!
