A lot of our blends are inspired by personal memories or moments in nature.
Inspiration for our Snowflower blend a few winters ago came from driving over the mountain on the way to Lake Tahoe and imagining a beautiful flower blooming against the blanket of white snow. Last summer’s Desert Sage and Canyon Bloom were inspired by a road trip up Highway 395 and seeing the wild beauty of the desert.
One of this summer’s newest blends, Enchanting Sea, is yet another example of that inspiration and process.
After a weekend away to Carlsbad, I wanted to capture the feeling of sitting on the beach, listening to the waves, as the sun made the waves sparkle. Just complete relaxation and peacefulness.
The image of a candle came first this time around. I was ordering supplies and fell in love with a new line of biodegradable glitters, not knowing what I would use them for yet but knowing they would have a place somewhere. Then I came across beautiful blue candle holders and instantly envisioned one of our soy wax wood-wick candles topped with the new glitter and pieces of Aquamarine crystals.
From there, the rest of the collection fell into place. Beautiful blue bath bombs and shower steamers topped with the same biodegradable glitters. A new soap, layered in different hues of blue to match the ocean, with a natural loofah tucked right inside. All infused with notes of Sea Salt, uplifting Bergamot, Cedarwood, and refreshing Mint to bring you back to the coast.
