I’ve always been creative in weird and quirky ways. Doing creative projects growing up and then with my kids, cross-stitching, rubber-stamping, scrapbooking, crafting, cake decorating, etc. Some of have stuck, some I just couldn’t master. Anything involving yarn was not a success for me – haha! I can come up with cute ideas for decorating, birthday themes, and special occasions. I’ve taken different classes over the years from cake decorating, sewing (another hobby that I couldn’t really get into), to flower arranging. All of these things I’ve really enjoyed not only as just a hobby but I’ve found them to be great stress-relievers and ways to express myself.
L’Aura Botanicals was created because I love blending oils and am obsessed with aromatherapy. Combining emotions, memories, scents, colors, themes - it’s my passion. I started painting and creating floral art a few years ago and it has opened the door to my creativity even more. Combining colors and flowers and themes, it all comes together and soothes my soul. Nature and botanicals are my biggest inspiration and curiosity on how to bring them all together. I will admit, I’ve had to learn to let my art speak for itself and the ultimate lesson of anything I create not having to be perfect.
